Sushi! Color Picker
A downloadable tool for Windows
Update - Currently available for the Palestinian Relief Bundle! This program is now marked as paid, to encourage others to get it within the bundle instead. All of the bundle's proceeds go to charity - it's $8 for 373 projects!
Sushi! is a mini color picker tool, made for Tool Jam 2!
This tool is made with pixel art in mind. However, Sushi! works with any digital art - so long as it is either a .jpg or .png file.
Questionably made using GameMaker.
🍣 features:
- RGB, HEX, and .png export options.
- screen effects - blur, mosaic, inversion, ...etc.
- auto color scanning (up to a sprite size of 512x512)
🍣 future plans:
- palette color sorting
- localizations
- dropdown menu keyboard shortcut displays
- improving appearance of popup windows.
🍣 limitations:
- currently only available for Windows.
- only .png and .jpg images are supported.
- only one image can be imported at a time.
- only one screen effect can be used at a time.
- color palette generation is suited for pixel art only!
- color palette is limited to 64 colors at once.
📝 keyboard controls:
📌 While Sushi! can be entirely controlled with the mouse, keyboard controls are also available for specific commands.
- C - Change Sushi! theme color.
- H - Flip view horizontally
- V - Flip view vertically.
- Up / Down / Left / Right - Move view
- Backspace - Delete last palette color
- Enter - (over hovered palette color) copy to clipboard

Holly and Mira...
I love this! Thank you so much!
Hello!! I love the screenshots! Chrome seems to complain about the download being suspicious though, are you able to look into that?
Hello! Thank you for the kind words!
The warning is likely related to the lack of code signing for my program/executable, which means that the "program publisher" property of this software is left unspecified ("Unknown publisher"). Even when trying to download Sushi's ZIP file on my end, I get the download blocked.
Getting a code signing certificate (a license which would require frequent renewal) is unfortunately very expensive. This issue really frustrates me, as I understand the anxiety that can come from those warnings, and don't want to stress anyone out. But for now, there is nothing I can do to fix this.
I'm really sorry for the inconvenience there!
The aesthetics and design are gorgeous. Great work on this!!
Thank you so much!
